Kodumaja structures attenuate noise

To ensure the well-being and satisfaction of the occupants of a house, it is important to protect their living spaces from noise. The noise may originate from occupants themselves or their neighbours, equipment and home appliances in a residential building or living rooms. Noise may also enter living rooms from the external environment.

The noise protection of living rooms is ensured by the technical solutions of a building structures and properly selected and installed sound insulation materials. Especially important is the proper and precise construction of structures separating different floors as well as of partition walls between apartments. Equally important are rational and sound insulating technical solutions of external walls, doors and windows.

Kodumaja has been conducting R&D in the field of sound insulation for years. Scores of airborne and impact sound insulation index measurements have been taken, new materials and structural solutions tested. The tests were performed by various companies in Estonia and Norway.

As a result of this development work, we can assure that Kodumaja structures meet the respective applicable norms in all Kodumaja markets and are often better than required by the norms.
